Day 01
Arrival Transfer, Meet & Greet
Arrive at the airport and meet our representative who will escort you to your hotel and help you check-in
Day 02
NAIROBI -EXCURSIONS
Morning: Old Dubai & Traditional Markets
9:30 AM – Transferred to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.
- You will interact with the elephants and enjoy a briefing about the program and its efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and reintroduce elephants and Rhinoceros in East Africa. –The Orphans’ Project exists to offer hope for the future of Kenya’s threatened elephant and rhino populations as they struggle against the threat of poaching for their ivory and horn, and the loss of habitat due to human population pressures and conflict, deforestation, and drought. [Visiting hours from 1100hrs -1200hrs].
- Enjoy game drives as you exit Nairobi National Park. The park has a diversity of environments with fauna and flora, open grass plains with acacia bushes are predominant at the park.
- Enjoy lunch at the Karen Blixen coffee garden followed by a tour to the home of coffee pioneer, Karen Blixen, which is now preserved as a museum.
- We will make stops by the Kazuri beads factory and see how the traditional jewelry is made.
- 1500 Hrs. we head to the Giraffe Center where you can climb into the elevated treetop aerie to feed giraffes face-to-face vantage point. A resident expert will present a private briefing on the center’s work to save the endangered Rothschild giraffe.
- After this tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 03
SWEETWATERS & OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
- After breakfast this morning, we drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private game sanctuary situated on the Laikipia Plains near Mount Kenya, arriving in time for lunch at the Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
- Built on the grounds of a colonial-era farm inside the conservancy itself, Sweetwaters is the perfect base for exploring Ol Pejeta. After settling into your accommodations, set out into the bush for your first game-viewing drive.
- Later this afternoon, you will tour Sweetwater’s Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only facility of its kind in Kenya. Upon your return to camp, you can relax on your private verandah overlooking the camp’s water hole, take a dip in the pool, or catalog the day’s haul of wildlife photographs. After dinner, relax by the fire or retire to the wonderful ambiance of your tent.
- The camp’s luxurious tents all feature comfortable beds, electricity, hot/cold running water, and a full en-suite bathroom with a shower. Overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
Day 04
OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
- Enjoy the entire day at Sweetwaters with morning and afternoon game drives through the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Boasting an incredible density of wildlife within its borders, the conservancy is also home to a host of endangered species. Ol Pejeta is especially known for its populations of black and endangered northern white rhinoceros.
- We return to camp for dinner and another pleasant evening. All meals are included. Overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
Day 05
SWEETWATERS - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
- After breakfast this morning, check out and drive through the Rift Valley floor to Lake Nakuru National Park. On entering the park, you will enjoy game viewing drive en-route to your lodge for check in and lunch. Enjoy afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
- Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is set along "The Lion Hill" in Lake Nakuru National Park. Concealed amidst lush vegetation, the safari lodge features a classic aesthetic and timeless design with a sense of calm and relaxation. It offers the most scenic and spectacular views of the Lake and the National Park from 67 chalet-style rooms, each with its own terrace.
- Beyond the stunning views and amazing wildlife, the lodge offers world-class cuisine, a panoramic bar terrace, an organic garden, a swimming pool, an outdoor spa and several activities ideal for the family.
- Lake Nakuru is world famous also as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. Besides that, more than 400 species of birds can be seen in the park. Between the lake and the cliffs in the west, large pythons inhabit the dense woodland, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees.
Day 06
NAKURU -MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
- This morning after breakfast, drive across the floors of the rift valley and into the Masai Mara.
- Arrive in time for lunch and check in. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in this natural paradise, returning to the lodge for dinner, relaxing around the fire pit, and overnight.
- Set high on a hilltop above the Mara, the lodge is blessed with sweeping views of the savannah below. In the distance, you can see the meandering coils of the hippo-filled Mara river.
- The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is widely considered one of Africa’s greatest reserves, where the Maasai community co-exists in harmony with the local fauna. The co-existence of man and wildlife makes this one of the world’s most unique wilderness regions. The Mara is home to a breathtaking array of life. The vast grasslands are teeming with herds of zebra, giraffe, gazelle, and topi. The acacia forests abound with monkeys and birdlife.
Day 07
MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
- We set out after an early breakfast amongst the splendor of an African sunrise for a full day of game viewing.
- Negotiating the roads and tracks down from the lodge, you are transported into a world of timeless natural wonder; one where the sights, sounds, and pageantry of life continue on just as they have for thousands of years.
- As the day progresses, your driver’s deep knowledge of the land becomes apparent as he leads you to one spot of outstanding beauty after the next, allowing you to observe the wildlife quietly and at your leisure. As the animals take refuge from the hot midday sun, we find a secluded spot to stop and enjoy a picnic lunch before pressing on. You arrive back at the lodge at dusk, pleasantly tired after an exhilarating day.
- Tonight, as you go to rest, you will sleep to the music of Nature – of lions roaring and hyenas laughing, a reminiscence of the might of wildlife.
Day 8
OPTIONAL BALLOON DAY-DEPART
- A truly 'once in a lifetime experience, flying in a Hot Air Balloon over the Mara plains is an evocative experience that you have the chance to enjoy during any safari you take to Mara or Amboseli.
- The balloon takes off, at dawn, around 6am, gliding silently during the ride over the savannah grasslands below where you may spot a variety of wildlife. The flight lasts an hour and concludes with a ''Champagne Bush Breakfast'' at the balloon landing site in the wilderness.
- The balloon is flown by a fully qualified and experienced Pilot where you, Lift off at dawn rising with the sun, and gently float in whichever direction the winds of the morning take you. At times this balloon will be piloted at the treetop level offering unique perspectives of the wildlife and many great photo opportunities.
- Nothing can quite compare to the feeling of soaring over the wide-open plains at sunrise before touching down for a champagne breakfast out amidst the wilderness.
- A perfect way to finish with an amazing champagne breakfast
- We hit the road once again after breakfast for our drive back to the Nairobi. Arrive late afternoon with an onward transfer to the Carnivore Restaurant for a farewell dinner before your onward transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your scheduled flight to your next destination.
- Sadly, the adventure comes to an end, but the memories are forever.
